Hamilton (OH) Journal News, Wednesay, November 7, 2001 -Reba (Lake) Lainhart Reba (Lakes) Lainhart, age 73, of Hamilton, went home to be with the Lord, at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Monday, November 5, 2001, at 8:15 p.m. She was born in Jackson County, Kentucky, on April 26, 1928, the daughter of George W. and Lottie (Isaacs) Lakes. On July 26, 1944, in McKee, Kentucky, she married Glendon J. Lainhart, who preceded her in death in 1986. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda K. Fields and her husband Alan of Hamilton; one grandson, Bradley A. Fields, who was her "special guy"; one brother, Denver Lakes and his wife Delsie of Hamilton; numerous nieces, nephews and precious and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dewel and Virgil Lakes; three sisters, Bonnie Rice, Mayme Lakes and Geneva Gabbard. Reba loved and was very proud of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She adored and loved her one and only grandson, Brad; he truly was "her heart". She will be greatly missed by all, but rest assured, she is with our Lord. The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful and loving care given by the staff at Mercy Hospital and Cancer Care. A special note of thanks to Dr. Phillip Leming and Dr. William Krall for their unwavering efforts and support. Many thanks for the prayers and concern shown to Reba by her clinic friends and church family. Funeral services will be at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, November 9, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Vernon Hornsby and Rev. Glen Thomas, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hamilton Church of God Youth Department, 1760 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013 or Mercy Cancer Care.
