Indianapolis Star and News; Indianapolis IN; 2007-12-25 Rebekah Rose Hoskins 73, of Indianapolis passed away December 24, 2007 at home surrounded by her family, after a short illness. Born October 16, 1934 in Bedford, IN to Joseph and Lula Pace Coulter Lake, she married Orvil R. Hoskins on December 24, 1953, and he survives. She was a manager of a Village Pantry for several years, but she devoted most of her life to being a housewife, mother and grandmother. Including her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her 6 children Terry, Darla (Sam) Graham, Richard, Sharon Demaree, Anita Monroe, and Michael; her 12 grandchildren Jason, Missy, Chris, Doug, Richard, TJ, Robbie, Matt (Carmen), Jessica, Jennifer, Demi and Dara; her 6 great-grandchildren Sabrina, Dakota, Destiny, Deanna, Madison and Keely; her 3 siblings James Coulter of Bedford, Bette Lewis of Williams and Joanne Fields of Indianapolis; her special great-niece Deonna Hattabaugh of Mitchell and nephew Jim Turpen of Danville, as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Darrell and Joseph Lake Jr., and three sisters, Ruth Holloway, Naomi Manion and Norma Jean Lake. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, 5377 E. Washington St., with funeral services at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. A graveside service will follow at Dive Cemetery in Bedford, IN at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
