Recorder & Times; Brockville ON Canada; 2003-8-2 02-Aug-2003 (BR&T) Regina Lake, 78 - Regina Marie Lake, 78, a longtime Brockville resident, died of cancer July 3 at the Elizabeth Bruyere Health Centre in Ottawa. She was born August 8, 1924, in Ottawa to Dermott Cauley and the former Anna Keyes and married Lloyd Lake in 1946 in Brockville. She lived most of her life in Brockville, working at Johnston Shoes, Phillips Cables, Parke Davis and the St. Lawrence College book store. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital and with the children of St. John Bosco school. She also belonged to the Catholic Women's League. Mrs. Lake enjoyed travelling; she visited the Dominican Republic in March of this year with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd, sister Phyliss and parents. She is survived by her son Stephen and friend Jenny Pelletier of Brockville, daughter Jennifer Casselman and husband John of Ottawa, brothers Lawrence Cauley of Brockville and Jimmy Cauley and wife Marie of Brockville and sisters-in-law Brenda and Mary Lake of Brockville. Also surviving are grandchildren Patrick and Kristina Lake of Brockville and Justin and Meghan Casselman of Ottawa, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends called at the Irvine Funeral Home, Brockville. The funeral was held July 7 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Brockville, with Rev. Father Brian Price officiating. Burial followed at St. Francis Xavier cemetery. The pallbearers were Patrick Lake, John Casselman, Randy Marvell, Robert "Bob" MacDonald, Thomas Barclay and Paul Burnham. Memorial donations were directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
