The Standard-Times; New Bedford MA; 2003-2-14 ROBERT D. LAKE NEW BEDFORD -- Robert D. Lake, 52, of Sawyer Street died unexpectedly at home Monday, Feb. 10, 2003. Born in New Bedford, the son of Celeste (Pinheiro) Lake of Fairhaven and the late Leo G. Lake Sr., he was a lifelong city resident. Mr. Lake was a taxi driver in New Bedford for various companies. He worked in social services in North Carolina several years ago, and more recently volunteered at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Survivors include his mother; a brother, Leo G. Lake Jr. of North Dighton; two nephews, Leo G. Lake III of Lincoln, R.I., and Jason J. Lake of Easton; a niece, Melanie A. Lake of Somerset; a great-nephew, Leo G. Lake IV of Lincoln; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Private arrangements were by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven. LAKE: Passed on in New Bedford February 10, 2003.
