Published in The Salinas Californian Salinas CA July 30 to Aug. 1, 2014 July 14, 1933 - July 25, 2014 FRESNO Robert Edward Lineberry was a retired minister who pastored Christian Community Fellowship Church in Castroville for 49 years. His life was an adventure of preaching, piloting his own airplane, snow skiing, taking his daughters on day trips on his motorcycle, traveling for pleasure and ministry, and loving and serving the community of Castroville. He ministered in Mexico many times at a village where one had to climb over the town's stone wall to enter, (and was only safe if a villager brought him in); he ministered in Romania where he and his wife supported an orphanage and local ministries; while working at a California State Prison he baptized 39 inmates after bringing them to know Jesus. After retiring, Robert and Norma moved to Fresno where they attended Northside Christian Church. On July 25, 2014 at the age of 81, in Madera, Robert died of natural causes and he finally arrived at the destination he looked forward to his whole life, Heaven. His heart's desire and life's work was to encourage others to join him there when God calls them home. Born July 14, 1933, in Kokomo, Indiana to Henry Dewey Lineberry and Mildred Frayer Lineberry, he had an older brother, Wilbert Lineberry, and two younger sisters, Lois Lineberry Norman and Sharon Lineberry Haley.
