Virginian Pilot; Norfolk VA; 1999-8-6 Robert I. Lake Sr. NORFOLK -- Robert I. Lake Sr., 73, of the 3100 block of Beamon Court, died Aug. 3, 1999, at his residence. Born in LaPort, Ind., he was a retired aircraft instrument instructor from the Naval Air Rework Facility and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Lake was a member of Norview United Methodist Church, Norfolk, and Masonic Lodge No. 296. Survivors include his wife, Marguerite G. Lake; a daughter, Connie L. Ballard of Wimauma, Fla.; a sister, Marguerite Jackson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Todd, Niki, Robby, Cody and Tyler. He was predeceased by a son, Robert I. Lake Jr. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. John Shappell. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Norview United Methodist Church.
