LAKE, Robert Martin "Bob" - 72, of Lower Sackville, passed away August
15, 2012, in the Palliative Care Unit of the VG Site, QEII. Born in
London, Ont., he was a son of the late Martin and Nell (Kwasek) Lake.
Bob served for 32 years in the RCN as a weapons technician and then
worked at the Sackville Sports Stadium in pool maintenance. Known as
"Mr. Fix-it" he enjoyed fishing, hunting, oil painting and watching his
grandsons play hockey. Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith
(McGinnis); daughter, Theresa Duffy, Lower Sackville; sons, Robert
"Bob" Lake, British Columbia; George Lake, Winnipeg, Man.; brother, Gary
(Sharon) Lake, London, Ont.; grandchildren, Brandon Duffy, Ben Duffy,
Samantha Lake and Sabrina Lake. Cremation has taken place. A private
family committal service will be held in Oakridge Memory Gardens. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to Nova Scotia Cancer Care, Palliative
