Maryland Independent Newspaper, Waldorf, Md., July 1, 2009 Robert Scott Robbins 72, Mechanicsville Robert Scott Robbins, 72 of Mechanicsville, formerly of Forestville, died June 24, 2009, at home. Born Nov. 23, 1936, in Dry Hill, Pa., he was the son of the late Franklin Robbins and the late Rowena Klingensmith Robbins Hennessey. He retired after 20 years as a service writer for GMC Truck Center in Landover. He also retired after serving for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed playing gholf and worked at Henson Creek Golf Course in Prince George's County. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dwain Robbins. He is survived by hsi wife of 52 y ears Betty Robbins, whom he married Sept. 15, 1956; daughter, Rowena Rohls of Waldorf; brother, Ronald Robbins of Northfield, Ohio; step-brother, Dwain Hennessey of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Dawn, Melissa, and Sarah Call; and great-grandchildren, Yasmine Jenkins, Brianna and Serenity McMillon, Taya Call, Brian Adams and Willow Fort.
