Roberta "Bert" Irelan, 97, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Senior Suites
of Urbandale surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at
Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street with a visitation for an hour
prior to the service. A private burial at Glendale Cemetery will occur
at a later date.

Bert was born February 21, 1916 in Lynnville, IA, to Iva J. (Mendenhall)
and Robert H. Linaberry. She married George E. Irelan, Jr. and worked
as a teacher's aide in the Des Moines Public Schools system.

Bert is survived by her children, Judy Thompson, Tom (Jean) Irelan and
Jerry (Christi) Irelan; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren;
and four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; great-granddaughter,
Samantha McReynolds; sister, Celia; brother, Les; and son in law,
Bob Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace United Methodist
Church.
