The Hawk Eye, Burlington Iowa Wednesday, 12/12/2001 Roger Fraise Roger D. Fraise, 41, of West Point, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at the home of his parents in rural West Point, after a year-long battle with cancer. Born July 17, 1960, in Fort Madison, he was the son of Carroll H. and Dorothy M. Lake Fraise. Mr. Fraise was a lifelong resident of West Point and a 1978 graduate of Marquette High School. He worked at Ruan Transportation in Burlington. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, the National Rifle Association and North American Hunting Club. He was an outdoorsman and an avid hunter. Survivors include his parents of West Point; three brothers, Mark and Don Fraise, both of West Point, and Paul Fraise of Fort Madison; three sisters, Nancy Ellingboe of Donnellson, Peggy Doering of Rockford, Ill., and Judy Moeller of West Point; 10 nieces; and nine nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and his grandparents. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at Link Funeral Home in West Point, where the familiy will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a Christian vigil service will be at 7 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Fraise will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, with the Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Point. Memorials have been established for Lee County Hospice and Marquette Schools of West Point.
