Press & Sun-Bulletin; Binghamton NY; 2001-10-14 & 2001-10-15 Roger W Lake of Binghamton Roger W Lake, 78, of Binghamton and Cape Coral, Fla., went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday afternoon, October 12, 2001, at the Ideal Senior Living Center. He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy E. Youngs and Camilla A Thorne. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C Lake, Cape Coral, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Cindy Mosier and Carolyn Sue DeMaris, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepson, Terry L Smith, Conn.; three stepgrandchildren, Jason and Jimmie Mosier and Duane Smith; a sister, Jannice Williams, Windsor; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church, Binghamton and Coral Ridge Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Fla. He was a retired employee of the IBM Corp in Endicott with 42 years of service and was a member of its Quarter Century Club. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Tuesday at 11 am. The Rev. Dr. Jack Beukema, Pastor of Park Avenue Baptist Church, Binghamton, and Roger's nephew, Rev. Brian King, will officiate. Burial will be in Kattelville Cemetery, Town of Chenango. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday from 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Park Avenue Baptist Church, 1135 Vestal Ave., Binghamton, NY 13903 or the Coral Ridge Baptist Church, 1723 NE 6th St., Cape Coral, Fla. 33909 in Roger W Lake's memory.
