LAKE, ROLAND EDGAR (ROLIE) Roland Edgar Lake of Canada Street,
Fredericton, died on December 12, 2003 at the Oromocto Public Hospital
after a lengthy illness. The son of Annie (Fellows) and George Lake,
he was born in Newcastle, NB on June 18, 1926. He was predeceased by
his parents and sister Emily. He is survived by his sister Barbara and
Everett Patterson and several nephews, all of Fredericton. The family is
very grateful to the doctors and staff of the Oromocto Public Hospital,
including the William R. Duffie Unit, and the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Hospital; Dr. Peter Fraser; Gladys McKay, his caregiver of the last
twenty years; Jobs Unlimited and the staff of Finney Electric; the late
Ruth (Goofy Roofy) and Stephen Chappell and the many friends who took an
interest in Roland throughout his life. There will be no visitation by
request. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, December
16, 2003 at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on York Street with
Ven. John Sharpe of Christ Church (Parish) Church officiating. No flowers
by request. Those who wish may donate to Jobs Unlimited or a charity of
their choice.
