Lake, 73, of Carlyle died Thursday, Dec. 18th, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. She was born on January 9th, 1930, in St. Rose, the daughter of Frank and Margaret Liening Woltering, and they preceded her in death. On October 30th, 1956, in St. Rose, she married Fred J. Lake, Jr., and he preceded her in death on Oct. 4th, 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Emery of Carlyle and Paula Anglen of Sandoval; a son, Danny Lake of Eddyville, Ky.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marcella Alberternst of St. Rose, Irma Hartlieb of Highland and Sally Wojtowicz of Breese; and four brothers, Ralph Woltering of Marietta, Ga., Richard Woltering of St. Charles, Mo., Robert Woltering of St. Rose and Matt Woltering of Jamestown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lake, and a sister, Irene Eversgerd. Mrs. Lake had been a L.P.N. at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese and retired after 30 plus years of service. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. Mary's Church in Carlyle, where her Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, Dec. 22nd, at 10 a.m., with Fr. George Mauck officiating. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation was at Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle.
