The Herald Everett, Washington Tuesday, February 10, 2009 Roseda C Hornberger Roseda Colleen Horngerger, of Everett passed away and joined the Kingdom of the Lord on Saturday January 31, 2009, following a brief but coourageous battle with cancer. Rosada was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on August 30, 1937 to Roy Lawrence and Dorothy (Large) Lakey. Roseda spent her early childhood in Oklahoma and later moved to the Seattle, WA, area where she resided for the remainder of her adult life, except for a brief period in Arizona. Roseda was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Hornberger, her daughter, Peggy Walton; and her daughter, Debra Christianson. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Hoglund, of Lyndwood, WA; a son, Bobby Hornberger (Cindy), of Marysville, WA; and brother, Robert Lakey (Nicky), of Arlington, Texas. Her cousin, Marvin Davenport and wife, Dorothy, of Cathlamet, Washington, brother, Bob and cousin Jeanetta, both of Texas, were able to be with her during her final days. Roseda worked for the Boeing Company for, 34 years and retired in 1994. Following retirement, she and her husband moved to Arizona were they lived for 10 years prior to moving back to the Seattle area in 2005. Roseda worked the last few years at Paula's Hallmark in Silver Lake. She enjoyed needlepoint, crochet, reading and playing the slots at Angle of the Winds casino. She had a deep and abiding love for her dog Lucie and enjoyed spoiling her with love and attention. Roseda leaves behind seven grandchildren: grandson, Dennis (and wife, Gwen); granddaughters, Jenny (and husband, Jamie), Michelle (and husband, Shane), Danielle, Marley and Ashley. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, Taylor Jacobson, Jada Rose Nelson, Cassidy Hernandez and Charlotte Hoglund. In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated and will be placed with her late husband at Tahoma National Cemetery. Please make any donations in her name to Providence Hospice Center in Everett, Washington. The family would like to thank all the friends, doctors, nurses and hospice staff for their love, support and exraordinary care provided during this difficult time.
