Great Falls Tribune; Great Falls MT; 2005-5-4 5-4--YUMA, Ariz. - Roy George Lake, 64, a longtime Helena resident and retired teamster, died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Monday at a hospital in Yuma, Ariz. A memorial service will be held later this summer. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sunset Vista Funeral Home of Yuma. Survivors include his wife, Alice Lake of Yuma; daughters Deeana Lake of Denver and Kathy Lake of Helena; a brother, Dale Pitmon of Bremerton, Wash.; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Lake, in January of this year. Independent Record; Helena MT; 2005-5-4 YUMA, Ariz. - Roy George Lake of Yuma, Ariz., died May 2, 2005, in Yuma. He was born May 29, 1940, to Roy and Ruth Lake of Everett, Wash. He was raised in Wolf Point, where he graduated from high school in 1959. He married Alice Denning of Chinook in 1959. He lived in Helena for 27 years, where he owned two gas stations, then worked as a teamster for Hilde Construction and retired in 1989. He is preceded in death by his son Larry and his parents. Survivors include his wife Alice, daughters Deeana and Kathy Lake, daughter-in-law Lorena Lake, and granddaughter Kari Lake, his brother Dale Pitmon, and many relatives on both sides of the family. Memorial service will be held this summer.
