MORTON, Ruby Ann Lakins - age 82, of Powell, passed away at 2 p.m. Sunday,
October 15, 2000, at Hillcrest North.  She was a member of First Baptist
Church, Powell and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class.  Preceded in
death by husband Ray Von Morton; grandson, Michael Ray Morton; parents,
Rufus and Nervie Lakins; brothers, Donald, Gilmer and Everette Lakins.
Survivors:  daughter and son in law, Gloria and Sam Wilson; sons and
daughters in law, Don and Sue Morton, Sue and Jeannie Morton, Glen and
Sandie Morton, all of Knoxville; eight grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; brother, Lonnie Lakins of Meza, Ariz.; sisters, Irene
Lowe of Morristown and Cordie (Betty) Terry of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces
and nephews.  Family and friends will meet at the main entrance to
Greenwood Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2000 for graveside
and interment services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Phil Jones and Rev. Jimmy
Stroud officiating.  Pallbearers will be grandsons.  The family will
receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
