Dunn County News, Sun, Aug. 10, 2003, A6 Menomonie WI Ruby C. Luepke, age 84, of Glenwood City, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Glenhaven Nursing Home in Glenwood City. Ruby was born Jan. 17, 1919, in the Township of Hay River, Dunn County, to Lloyd P. and Mamie (McIntyre) Lake. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Boyceville. She was raised in Hay River Township where she graduated from the Boyceville High School in 1936. She attended beauty school in Eau Claire. Ruby married H. Robert Luepke Sept. 21, 1939, at the United Methodist Church in Boyceville. They lived in Stillwater, Minn., until 1942 when they bought a farm in the Glenwood area. In 1948 they moved to a farm in the Glenwood City limits where she lived until 1994 when she moved to Glenhaven. Ruby worked in the Glenwood City Creamery and later worked as the head bookkeeper for the Glenwood City Lumber Yard. Ruby was an active member of the Ladies Aid at the United Methodist Church in Glenwood City. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in 1994, son Jerry, daughter Judy Stafsholt, brother Lloyd R. and sister Ethel Benitz. Ruby is survived by grandson Rob Stafsholt and wife Colleen of New Richmond, great-granddaughter Maggie Judith Stafsholt, son-in-law Dick Stafsholt of New Richmond, daughter-in-law Geraldine Luepke of Hudson, and brother Herbert Lake and wife Alice of Boyceville. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at the United Methodist Church in Glenwood City with Rev. Gregg Meser officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood City Cemetery in Glenwood City. Friends may call at the Everts Funeral Home in Glenwood City today (Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003) from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
