Born in Newport Station, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Dolly (Dykens) Lake. Ruby was a homemaker all her life. She loved gardening, flowers and going camping. She enjoyed doing things for other people as well. She is survived by her husband, Allen, Brooklyn; only daughter, Joann Peck-Day and son-in-law, Ken, Alabama, U.S.A. Cremation has taken place with graveside service at a later date in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations in Ruby's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Friends of Dykeland Lodge.
