LAKE, Ruth Elizabeth, 89, of Toronto, Ohio, formerly of Weirton, W.Va.,
passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008, in the Acuity Specialty Hospital
in Steubenville, Ohio.

Born September 24, 1919, in Clarion, Pa., she was the daughter of the
late Augustus and Mary Jane Greenwalt Rettig.

Mrs. Lake was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son,
James Arthur Lake; and sister, Laura Hughes.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Albert Edward Lake and his wife, Pam, of
Windsor, S.C., Daniel James Lake and his wife, Nancy Ann, of Byesville,
Ohio, John David Lake and his wife, Marion Kay, of Somerset, Pa., and
Ernest Paul Lake and his wife, Pam, of Central City, Pa.; daughters,
Dorothy Coward and her husband, Walt, of Millville, N.J., Sandy Benning
and her husband, William, of Garrett, Pa., and Ruth Lamantia and her
husband, Joel, of Toronto; 28 grandchildren; 36 great- grandchildren;
and five great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Sunday, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m., at the
Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral
services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Monday.

Interment will be in Three Springs Cemetery, Weirton.
