Wheeling Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Altmeyer Funeral Home,
214 Marshall Street., McMechen.

LAKE, Ruth I. Murphy, 77, of McMechen, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, in
Wheeling Hospital. She was retired from the former Reichart Furniture
Co., Wheeling, and a member of McMechen-Benwood United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George D. and Josephine E.
Raber Murphy: and three sisters. Nell Lewis, Bessie Oser and Mildred
Sabo Surviving are a son. Michael E. and his wife, Bonnie, of Wheeling:
a daughter, Darla J. Frazier of Benwood: seven grandchildren: a
great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews Friends received 7-9
p.m. Friday at Altmeyer Funeral Home. 2 14 Marshall St., McMechen, where
services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. Interment in Halcyon Hills
Memorial Gardens, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may he made to the
McMechen-Benwood United Methodist Church, East 8th and Marshall streets,
McMechen, WV 26040,

LAKE - On Tuesday, March 14, 2000, RUTH I. MURPHY LAKE, in her 78th
year.
Her survivors include seven grandchildren, Michael, Sean and Dilan Lake,
all of Wheeling, Darla Marie Matsakis of Bloomingdale, N. J., Charlie
Frazier of Vienna, W.Va. Jennifer L. Frazier of Moundsville, and
Danielle Hope Frazier of Benwood; a great-granddaughter, Maria J.
Matsakis of Bloomingdale; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214
Marshall St., McMechen, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday
with the Rev. Glen Baker Jr, officiating. Interment in Halcyon Hills
Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
Memorial contributions may be made to the McMechen-Benwood United
Methodist Church, East 8th and Marshall streets, McMechen, WV 26040.
