GRANITE FALLS - Ruthie Lakey Graham, 76, of Elizabethton, Tenn., formerly
of Hudson, died Dec. 29, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson
City, Tenn.

Born Aug. 27, 1924, in Tennessee, she was a daughter of Florence Chambers
Lakey of Elizabethton, Tenn., and the late James Robert Lakey.

A Baptist, she was a homemaker.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son and daughter-in-law,
Auston and Frances Graham of Hudson; a brother, Max Lakey of Lenoir; a
sister, Jessie Morrison of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a stepgrandson, Matthew
Munn of Hudson; and a niece and nephew-in-law, Florence and Al Parlier.

The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Phillip Coffey at 2 p.m. Tuesday
at Mackie-High Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight and at the
residence of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Spradling, 10 Crescent St., Granite Falls,
at other times.
