Published in Daily Record on July 22, 2016 Parsippany, NJ Sandra Irene Kuhl-Farkas AGE: 80 - Morristown Sandra Irene Kuhl-Farkas passed away peacefully on July 18th surrounded by her loving family. She was 80 years old (but could have easily passed for 60.) Born December 26, 1935, Sandy was the only child of Freida Warshauer and Saul Rosenberg of Brooklyn, New York. However, she was so close to her cousins - Barbara and Howie Warshauer as well as Lee Shenker - that she always felt part of a large family. She attended Brooklyn College where she studied to become a teacher, but was blessed to become a mother before graduating. She moved to White Meadow Lake in Rockaway, New Jersey where she raised three daughters (and three step children) and made many lifelong friendships that she deeply treasured. Later, she moved to New Vernon, New Jersey where she loved throwing parties, hosting holidays, entertaining family and friends and more often than not, telling a good dirty joke. She was a fantastic cook. She had a great sense of humor. And she was a natural beauty who turned heads everywhere she went. According to her children, Sandy was truly the greatest mother there ever was. She will be missed more than words can express. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Farkas; her daughters, Nina Ackerman, Robin Donofrio, and Denise Jenkins; their spouses James Ackerman, John D'Angio, and Brad Jenkins; as well as adopted children, Michael Rosenstein, Fredda Rosenstein, Bruce Rosenstein, and her loyal friend Maria. Sandy is predeceased by husbands Stanley Edelman, Allen Rosenstein, and John Kuhl. Most importantly, she is survived by her 7 grandchildren that she loved more than anything else in the world, Daniel Donofrio, Jonathan Donofrio, Sam Ackerman, Thomas Donofrio, Natalie Ackerman, Jake Jenkins, and Jenna Jenkins. She was an adored wife, a devoted mother, a cherished friend, a treasured Mummum. For everyone who knew her, she made a difference. A memorial to celebrate Sandy's life will be held at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston, NJ on Sunday, July 24th at 3:00 pm.
