 Sarah Stevens, 47, passed away March 13, 2000, at Akron City Hospital. 
     She was born in Sunflower County, Miss.,had lived in this community for 
11 years, and attended the Beulah Baptist Church.
     Mrs. Stevens is survived by husband, Henry; sons, Charles and Michael, 
both of Akron, Melvin and James, both of Cleveland, Miss.; daughter, Bernice 
of Akron; mother, Mary Alice Murray of Cleveland, Miss.; stepmother, Mariah 
Lake; brothers, Sammy Lee and Willie Joe of Cleveland, Miss., Bolden of 
Macon, Miss; sisters, Gloria Prigmore and Maxine Cobbin, both of Akron, Mary 
Lee Murray, Annie Pearl Murray, Rosie Murray,and Alice Murray, all of 
Cleveland, Miss.; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other 
relatives and friends.
      Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at Rhoden Memorial 
Home Chapel, with Elder Albert Stevens officiating. Internment at Glendale 
Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service. Condolences
