The Olympian; Olympia WA; 2005-3-6 Senvi N. Lake 1912 -- 2005 Senvi passed away peacefully at her home in Grayland on February 28, 2005. She went to be with her Lord. Senvi was born on June 6, 1912 in Aberdeen. She married Eino Lake on April 28, 1934 in Port Orchard. They were married for 51 years. She was preceded in death by both her husband, Eino, and her brother, Matt Naranen. She is survived by her children, Ellen (Leon) Revel, of Dallas, Oregon, Margaret Robinson, of Lacey, Bob Lake, of Grayland, and Kathy (Mitch) Baker, of Olympia; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Senvi was employed by the Washington State Department of Teachers' Retirement in Olympia for several years in the 1930s. She returned to the beach area, and became co-owner of Ivonen's Market for 35 years. She also was a self-employed bookkeeper who retired last month. Senvi was an avid clam digger, gardener, reader, and card player. She was a woman of wit, wisdom, and intelligence. Senvi loved life and believed in giving. Her passions were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Senvi's Life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at her church, South Beach Christian Center, in Grayland. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity, or random acts of kindness in her memory, would be appreciated. Senvi's Spirit will live on! We are Blessed. Daily World; Aberdeen WA; 2005-3-4 Grayland - Senvi N. Lake, 92, of Grayland, a self employed bookkeeper who retired about a month ago, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at her home. Mrs. Lake was born June 6, 1912, in Aberdeen. On April 28, 1934, she married Enio Lake of Port Orchard. At the time of his death they had been married for 51 years. In the 1930's Mrs. Lake was employed by the WAshington State Teacher's Retirement in Olympia for several years. She then returned to tthe beach and was co-owner of Ivonen's Market for 35 years. A brother Matt Naranen died previously. A celebration of her life is planned for 1 p.m. Satureday, April 2, at her church, the South Beach Christian Center in Grayland. Arrangements were by the Whiteside Family Mortuary in Aberdeen. Donations in her memory are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Acts of kindness in her memory would also be appreciated.
