Sharon Kay "Shar" (Raatz) Lake
LAKE, Sharon Kay "Shar" (Raatz) - Of Swartz Creek, age 65, died Monday,
October 1, 2007 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service
will be held at 2PM Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Swartz Funeral
Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Grant H. Wessel officiating. Per
Sharon's wishes, cremation will take place following the service. Those
desiring may make contributions to McLaren Pulmonary Rehab. Visitation
11AM Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Sharon
was born in Flint, Michigan on May 23, 1942, the daughter of the late
Norman and Marion Raatz and was a resident of the Flint area all of her
life. Sharon enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, but her true joy was
spending time with her grandchildren. Sharon retired from General Motors
Delco Electronics Division. Surviving are 4 children, Tammy and husband
John Miller of Huntington, Indiana, Kelley and husband Patrick Gormley
of Flint, Duane and wife Shannon of Mt. Morris, David and wife Kimberly
of Flint; 7 grandchildren, Amber, KeyaLani, Joshua, Ashli, Trista,
Brandin and McKenzie; brother and sister; aunts, uncles; special niece,
Robin; nieces, Candace and Paula; special friends, Florence Hempton,
Chris and husband Jim Gibbons, Judy Mingee and Sharon's pulmonary rehab
buddy, Ruthann. She was preceded in death by her son, Norman Edward and
