Shelby J. Lake

  Shelby Jean lake, 55, of Front Royal died Monday at Winchester Medical
Center.

  The funeral will be contducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Maddox Funeral
Home in Front Royal by Pastor Bob Ford. Burial wil be in Panorama Memorial
Gardens at Waterlick.

  Mrs. Lake was born Feb. 25, 1951,in Faugquier County, daughter of Katie
Lamb Whitmer of Markham and the late Aldon "Jake" Whitmer. She had been
employed by the Apple House and was a member of Linden United Methodist
Church. She was the wife of the late Garland Wayne Lake, Sr.

  Surviving with her mother are three sons, Garland Wayne Lake, Jr. of
Chester Gap, John W. Lake and Jason Lake, both of Front Royal; four
sisters, June Campbell of Chester Gap, Polly Dye of Amissville, Tina
Young of Front Royal and Penny Ramey of Inwood, W. VA; three brothers,
Benjamin Whimer of markham, George Whitmer of Front Royal and Charles
Whitmer of Roanoke; and five grandchildren.

  Pallbearers will be Wade Settle, Matt Hamilton, Adam Campbell, Timmy
Campbell, Rusty Rector and Glen Cook

  Honary pallbearers will be Bobby Fletcher, Brad Fletcher, Robert
Donovonn, Patrick Hollenbaugh and Steve Young.

  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the
funeral home.

  Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, 1501
