Shirley Dantz Brunner, 70, of Hedgesville, went to be with the Lord,
Friday, March 12, 2010, at her home. Born Sept. 27, 1939, in Berryville,
Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ardella Lake; and her
adopted parents, the late E. Russell Dantz and Helen Davidson Dantz.

She was a member of the Johnsontown Bible Church.

Mrs. Brunner was retired from City Hospital as a registration clerk. She
is survived by a son, Timothy G. Brunner and fiancee, Jeannie Howdyshell,
of Hedgesville; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann LeMaster and husband, Carlos,
of Inwood, and Patricia Lynn Brunner of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren;
one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Bettie Burson of Florida and
Velma Brown of Harpers Ferry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Grayson S. Brunner; a sister, Audrey Willingham; and three brothers,
Boyd, Garland and Warren Lake.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18,
2010, at the Johnsontown Bible Church, with the Rev. L. Jack Rudy
officiating. Interment will be in the Johnsontown Bible Church
Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on
Wednesday, March 17, at the Brown Funeral Home. Online condolences may
