Funeral for Shirley Lake Jones, 62, of Decatur will be tonight, May 11,
2005, at 7 p.m. at Austinville Church of God with the Rev. Harold Coomer
officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.  Burial will be in Basham
Cemetery on Thursday, May 12, 2005. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to
7 at the church.  Mrs. Jones died Monday, May 9, 2005, at Decatur General
Hospital. She was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Decatur to Melvin T. and Bertha
McCluskey Lake. Her sister, Mary Elizabeth Spahr preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Donnie Jones; one daughter, Leah S. Jones
of Decatur; three brothers, Leldon Lake and James Lake, both of Decatur,
and Roy Lake of Houston, Texas; and one sister, Sue Hill of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be nephews.  Honorary pallbearers will be the men of
the Overcomers Sunday school class.
