Born January 18, 1933, he was a son of the late Embert and Martha (Mosher) Lake. Stan worked for several years for Dresser Minerals, Walton and Halifax Shipyards. He was a boom truck operator for L&J Gillespie and shop mechanic at Dexter Construction before retiring in 1997. Surviving are his wife, Delta (Walker); daughters, Carolyn (Phillip) Smith, Summerville; Cindy (Leonard) Spencer, Lower Burlington; sons, Stephen (Mona), Brooklyn; Michael, at home; granddaughters, Michelle and Christine Smith, Melissa Spencer, Jennifer and Stacey Lake; sisters, Lorna Spencer, Summerville; Geraldine Ross, Kingston; Mary Smith, Newport Corner; brothers, Prescott and Douglas Lake, Falmouth; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Embert Jr., Coleman, George, Baden in infancy; half-brother, Chesley Card. Cremation has taken place.
