LAKE, Stanley Alfred - 68, Summerville, Hants Co., died November 25,
2001, at home. Born January 18, 1933, he was a son of the late Embert
and Martha (Mosher) Lake. Stan worked for several years for Dresser
Minerals, Walton and Halifax Shipyards. He was a boom truck operator for
L&J Gillespie and shop mechanic at Dexter Construction before retiring
in 1997. Surviving are his wife, Delta (Walker); daughters, Carolyn
(Phillip) Smith, Summerville; Cindy (Leonard) Spencer, Lower Burlington;
sons, Stephen (Mona), Brooklyn; Michael, at home; granddaughters,
Michelle and Christine Smith, Melissa Spencer, Jennifer and Stacey Lake;
sisters, Lorna Spencer, Summerville; Geraldine Ross, Kingston; Mary
Smith, Newport Corner; brothers, Prescott and Douglas Lake, Falmouth;
many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Embert Jr.,
Coleman, George, Baden in infancy; half-brother, Chesley Card. Cremation
has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by
request of the family. Donations to Summerville Volunteer Fire
Department. Arrangements entrusted to J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home,
Highway 354, Summerville.
