Kalamazoo, MI Susan Lake LAKE, Mrs. Susan of Kalamazoo, MI (Texas Twp.) Passed away peacefully at sunrise on May 21, 2003 at her home where she enjoyed many days overlooking the lake and the flowers in her garden from her bedroom window. Susan was born in Croydon, England on January 28, 1946, the daughter of Cyril A. and Dorothy (Brooker) Sadler. She was a Co-owner and Vice President of Finance at Fluid Process Equipment of Kalamazoo, Mi. Susan previously worked as an expert Cartographic Drafter for SPC in London, Esso in London and for Air Canada in Montreal. She was very talented and drafted detailed maps by hand for the US Army. She enjoyed sewing, skiing and gardening. Susan was a member of the Foreign Exchange Club. A brother Neil Sadler predeceased Susan in December of 2003. Susan is survived by her husband Glyn, whom she married January 14, 1967; two children Kerry (Paul) Arkinstall of Kalamazoo, Mi, and Stuart Lake of Atlanta, GA; a grandson, Gavin Arkinstall; a sister Jane (Colin) Rudd of Reading, England; several nieces and nephews; and her daughter Kerry's loyal dog, Tazzy. Family and Friends will be received at the First Presbyterian Church, 321 West South St., Kalamazoo, MI on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at 10:00am where the service will be held at 11:00am with Pastor Joe Bistayi officiating. Internment will be in Mountain Home Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Mi. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center, Ministry with Community or Hospice of SW Michigan.
