Susan Michelle Yates Lake, 38, of Springfield, died Saturday, August 14,
2004 at the Hospice Care Center of St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born May 10, 1966 in Lebanon, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Bessie
Curtsinger Yates of Springfield and wife of Darryl Lake. She was a
member of Willisburg Christian Church and an employee at the office of
Dr. Ben Smith.

In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include a daughter,
Amelia Kathryn Lake of Springfield; two sons, Austin Bryce Barr of
Campbellsville and Johnathon Allen Barr of Springfield; four sisters,
Pam Adkins and her husband Phillip, Marilyn Walls and her husband Johnnie
of Lawrenceburg, Jackie Kirsch of Willisburg and Jennifer Edelen and her
husband Kevin of Springfield; three brothers, Terry Yates and his wife
Teresa of Cornishville, Daniel Yates and his wife Missy and Jeff Yates
of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth E. Yates Jr.

Funeral services were held Monday at Willisburg Christian Church
with Bro. Greg Bowen officiating.  Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery
in Willisburg.

Pallbearers were John Settles, David White, Tommy White, Darnell White,
Paul Coulter and Mark Hale.

Carey and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
