Published in The Sun Herald on June 5, 2013 Biloxi MS Susan Snowden TETE February 24, 1943 - June 1, 2013 New Orleans TETE Susan Snowden TETE, born LAKE, a retired partner of the law firm of MEDO & TETE, died on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at her home in New Orleans. Susan was a graduate of McGehee High School, Vassar and Tulane Law School. She was born February 24, 1943 in New Orleans to Mary McGehee SNOWDEN wife of/and Dr. Wesley W. LAKE, M.D. of Pass Christian. She was the beloved spouse of W. T. TETE for forty years. Susan is survived by her husband, Bill, by her brother Dr. W. Wayne LAKE, M.D., by her three nieces Courtenay LAKE, Corinne Lake KLARE, mother of Robert and William KLARE, and Jane Lake MILLER (a goddaughter), mother of Hugh and Adele MILLER, by many relatives by marriage also dear to her and friends from this country and around the world, particularly in France and the Czech Lands. Funeral services will be held for her at her parish church, St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church on State Street in New Orleans, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6th, preceded by a visitation period in the sanctuary from 9:00 a.m. Burial we be at the Lake family plot in Live Oak Cemetery at Trinity Episcopal Church in Pass Christian at about 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to The Sisters, Servants of Mary, 5001 Perlita Street, New Orleans, 70122, to whom she and her husband were most grateful, or directly to one of the poor whom you know face-to-face.
