The Virginia Gazette Williamsburg, VA December 12, 2009 Suzanne "Suzi" Robins, June 26, 1959 - December 8, 2009 A letter from Suzi ... If you are reading this, I, Suzanne Kirby Robins, have passed from this life into the next on December 8, 2009, at the age of 50. Those who knew me well don't need to read a list of my accomplishments or interests. So in that light, I am writing all of my family and friends a love letter here today. Not for the world would I ever choose to leave this Earth or the many fur babies, best friends, family and chosen family I have been so fortunate to have in my life. In the words of the Beatles, "There are faces I'll remember all my life [...] some have gone and some remain [...] in my life, I've loved them all." I pray with all my heart that this appears in the local paper later rather than sooner, but that's an ongoing negotiation with God just now. I will always treasure the love I share with you all. And the bonds of love (as I see them) cannot be broken just because I have passed beyond the veil. You are all dearer to me than you can know. And I consider myself one of the luckiest people on Earth to know and love each and every one of you. I know we will all be together in the next world. But in the meantime, you must all promise to live healthy, happy, long lives. 'Til we meet again, I love you all, Suzi. Suzi is survived by her sisters Nicki Peet (Cary) and Judy McKeel; nephews Frank Jordan (Laura) and Matthew Jordan; nieces Samantha Dorr (David), Hagen Hicks (Jeremy) and Amy Jordan; her dear friends Robin Arnao and Kelly Hurst (Frank Hyatt); her beloved "fur babies" and many, many friends. A celebration of Suzi's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Peninsu la Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News. Family will receive guests beginning at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of the following charities: Wildlife Warriors, Doris Day Animal League or The Otter Project.
