SYLVIA CRAWFORD Ellenville, N.Y. Sylvia Crawford of Ellenville passed
away on Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Ten Broeck Commons, Lake Katrine
after long illness. She was 91. The daughter of the late Joshua and
Charlotte Wright Krom, she was born on July 28, 1912 in Napanoch. She
was predeceased by her husband, Harrison, who passed away in October
1983; and a granddaughter, Rebecca L. Strath in 1983. She was the last
remaining of 12 children born to Joshua and Charlotte. Predeceasing her
were seven brothers, Jerry, Clarence, William, Albert, Andrew, Clyde,
Gordon; and four sisters, Hattie Lake, Laura Keener, Ethel Stedner,
and Mary Krom. Survivors include four daughters, Arlene Brown and her
husband, Harold, of Grahamsville, Charlene Erceg and her husband, Jack,
of Sedona, Ariz., Lorraine Strath and her husband, Stanley, of Saugerties,
Joan Sheeley and her husband, Terry, of Napanoch; eight grandchildren,
Anthony Erceg and his wife, Valerie, of Saratoga Springs, Todd Erceg
of Boston, Mass., Kris of Saugerties, Keith Bittner and his wife,
Denise, of Phoenix, Ariz., Mark Bittner of Napanoch, Alicia Sheeley of
Napanoch; four great grandchildren; several nieces; and nephews also
survive. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother, and she will
be greatly missed by all the many lives she touched. Friends may call at
the Louck's Funeral Home, Inc., Route 209, Ellenville, on Sunday from
7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10 at 11
a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Eileen Daunte will officiate. Burial
will be in the Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville. Arrangements by Loucks
