Sylvia Mary Lake, 70, was born into eternal life on Sunday, December 22,
2002, her birthday.
    Born in Mechanicsville, New York she moved from Pompano Beach to
Floridana Beach in 1975, then to Lamplighter Village in Melbourne in 1995.
    A homemaker, she was founder of the Greatest Moms Club.  Her family
includes her husband of 52 years.  William Henry Lake; children, Mike
Lake, Linda Lake, Bill Lake, Mark Lake, Tim (Lisa) Lake and Kimberly
(Keith) Charlton; siblings, Ruth Starks, Harold (Marie) Osborn, Rainie
Guile, Dick (Janet) Osborn and Nancy (John) Retell; granchildren,
Stephanie (Bob) Sayers, Tracy (George) Geisz, Kelly Lake, William
"Little Bill" Lake, Marlee Lake, Kori Charlton and Jonathan Charlton;
great grandchildren, Gage Sayers, Skyler Geisz, Bailey Sayers, Jared
Sayers and one more on the way.
    Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 27,
2002, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. at South Brevard Funeral Home
in Melbourne.  A Funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon Saturday,
December 28, 2002, at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne.
