TERRY LAKE

Terry LAKE, 48, Oklahoma City, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, in Moore.

Funeral services were June 29, at MILLS Chapel.  Burial was at Oak Hill 
Cemetery with military honors provided by the VFW Post #1098, McAlester.  
Funeral arrangements were directed by MILLS Funeral Home, McAlester.

Born April 14, 1952, in McAlester, he was the son of Ben and Mildred 
(HODGES)LAKE.  He grew up in McAlester and went into the US Army during the 
Vietnam War, where he was awarded numerous medals and awards.

After his military service, he moved to Oklahoma City, where he worked as a 
jet engine mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base for over 19 years until he 
retired.

He was a member of the Victory Christian Church in Warr Acres and belonged 
to several veterans organizations.

Survivors include his wife, Laura BROOKS LAKE of the home;  three stepsons, 
Bradley BOONE of Oklahoma City, Brian BOONE of Bartlesville and David 
FERGUSON of El Reno;  his mother, Mildred LAKE, Oklahoma City;  a brother, 
Benny LAKE, Oklahoma City, and two sisters, Jamie HARDESTY and Cindy LAKE, 
both of Oklahoma City.
