Times-Herald Record Middletown, NY 10 Feb 2009 Thelma Lake Livingston Manor, NY Thelma Lake of Livingston Manor, died on Sunday, February 8, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 74. The daughter of the late Ralph S. and Laura Mae Gross Baker, she was born November 6, 1934 in Hawthorne, NY. She was the widow of George William Lake, who predeceased her on July 2, 1976. Thelma was a retired LPN. She loved decoupage, garage sales, shopping, flowers, especially roses, her family and grandchildren. A family statement reads: "Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when dawn is still dark." She is survived by her companion, Tony DiLorenzo; one daughter, Laura Richards and her husband, Robert of Liberty; two sons, Timothy Lake and his wife, Judy of Liberty, and Ralph Lake and his wife, Lauren of Long Island; grandchildren: Adam, Jamie, Christopher, Danielle, Ashley Maxi, and Lexi Lake, Tara Tutwiler and her husband, Jay, Ashton Richards, and Tobi Vigilone and her husband, Chris; one great-grandson, Anthony Vigilone; four brothers: Jake Baker and his wife, Lois, Jack Baker and his wife, Helen, Joe Baker and his wife, Marcella, and Mark Baker and his wife, Kate; four sisters: Elizabeth Danko, Oneda Maszaros, Christine Schwartz and her husband, Saul, and Barbara Bower and her husband, Gary; one sister-in-law, Della Baker; many nieces and nephews. Her daughter, Christine Lake and her brother, James Baker, predeceased her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor, NY 12758. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment of ashes will be held at the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery in the spring.
