Sun Journal; Lewiston ME; 2001-1-26 LEWISTON Thelma M. Lake, 87, of 460 Minot Ave., formerly of 74 Lake Auburn Ave., Auburn, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. Born in Wolfeboro, N.H., Dec. 23, 1913, the daughter of Howard and Effie Kimball Hammond, she was educated in schools of Franklin and Concord, N.H. Mrs. Lake was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and had been employed as a housekeeper. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. David (Patricia) Kerns of Vienna, Va., and Mrs. Lawrence (Carol) Leighton of Winter Haven, Fla.; two sons, Richard of Fairfax, Va., and David of Ohio; a sister, Annetta Ellis of Nampa, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
