Elk Grove Citizen Elk Grove, CA Dec 7, 2007 Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 8 for Thelma Maxine Lake of Sloughhouse who died Dec. 1, 2007 at the age of 84. Mrs. Lake was born in Ottawa County, Okla., and had lived in the Sacramento area since 1948. She was a member of the Teamsters Local Union No. 227 at Campbell's Soup Co. where she retired after 35 years as a filler operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lovis Lake who died Nov. 28, 2001, sister Twila Shenkle and brother Robert Matthews. Mrs. Lake is survived by her children, Dorsie Wilson and husband Joseph of Sloughhouse, Robby Lake and wife Janet of Sacramento and Edward A. Lake of Sloughhouse; grandchildren Scott Ott, Seana Gubrud and husband Jay, Cassie Merrill and husband Joel, Robin Lake and Matthew Lake and wife Abbey; and great-grandchildren Apton and Caitlin Merrill, Ashley, Abbie and Alexis Gubrud and Jaden Lake. She was the sister of James Matthews and wife Dorothy, Lydia White, Galen Matthews and Sarah King. Saturday's services begin at 10 a.m. in East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary Chapel, 9189 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 43rd and Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento.
