The daughter of Edward G. and Effie (Schlicht) Lakin was born March 6, 1912 in Flint, Michigan. She married Clarence R. Curtindale, November 9, 1935, he survives her. She was employed by Saginaw General Hospital, (Covenant-Harrison), retiring in 1977 after 23 years of service. After retirement she volunteered at Saginaw General over 15,000 hours. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was active with the Saginaw County 4H for over 40 years. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, a son and their spouses, Virginia R. and Harold J. Sudhoff, Saginaw; Edward G. and Barbara A. Curtindale, Farmington Hills, Mich.; five grandchildren and their spouses, Cynthia and James Szott; Kelly Cool; Edward Curtindale III and his wife Diane; Kristi Curtindale; Candice and Gordon McIntosh; six great-grandchildren; Courtney and James Szott III; Tyler and Lindsay Cool; Andrew Curtindale; Jacob McIntosh; a sister, Winnifred Lakin, Saginaw. A sister, Florence Trybulski and a brother, Edward G. Lakin have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2000 at the W.L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Asa T. Compton will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
