Theona F. Lake Worked as a nurses aide at Folts Home for many years HERKIMER - Theona F. Lake 71, of Doxtader Street,, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 27, 1999, in St. Lukes-Memorial Hospital Center, New Hartford. She was born April 15, 1927, in the town of German Flatts, a daughter of the late Arthur James and Orcelia Irving Fralick. A lifelong area resident, she was educated in Herkimer public schools. For 22 years, she worked as a nurses aide for Folts Home, retiring in 1992. For a period of time she resided in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., before returning to Herkimer in 1976. She was a 50-year member of the First Baptist Church, Herkimer. Surviving her are a brother, Everett and his wife Betty Fralick of Herkimer; two sisters, Laura Neil of Herkimer and Nellie Neil of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and several nieces She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Donald Fralick, and a sister, Helen Blair. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday from 4-8 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court St., Herkimer. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jeremy Spencer, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Herkimer, officiating. Mrs. Lake will then be placed in the Fenner Funeral Home private receiving vault to await burial in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls, later this spring. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Herkimer, memorial fund or the charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
