The Chronicle Telegram; Elyria OH; 2002-10-12 Theresa A.Wilgor(Nee Laker), 80, of Amherst Ohio, Died thurday at St John's West Shore Hospital, in Westlake after a short illness. She was born in Wampum, Pa., And came to Ohio in 1924. She attended St Mary's School in Elyria. She lived in South Amherst from 1961-1980, Then moved Amherst. She resided at Oak Ridge nursing home in westlake for the last year. A homemaker, She a long time member of Nativity of the blessed Virgin Mary Catholic church in south amherst and most recently attended the church of St Peter in Lorain. She enjoyed spenting time with her family, Especially her grandchildren. Survivors include son's Andrew J Wilgor of Lorain and David A Wilgor of south amherst; Three grandchildren, and a brother, Harry Laker of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, James H Wilgor,in 1969, Her parents Walter Laker and Celia (nee Meckolacyk) Laker Olaksiak, Brothers Andrew and john Laker,and sisters Sophia Lake and Genevieve Burgett. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 pm today and sunday at Hempel funeral home, 373 cleveland st amherst. Closing prayers will be 11 am monday at the funeral home. A mass will be 11:30 am Monday at nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 333 South Lake st South Amherst. THe Rev Denis ST. Marie, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St Mary's Cemetery, Elyria.
