Staten Island Advance Staten Island, NY Friday, January 07, 2005 THERESA GOUGH, 94 New Dorp resident enjoyed baking for her family Theresa Gough, 94, of New Dorp, a homemaker, died yesterday at home. Born Theresa Lake in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, Canada, she moved to Brooklyn in 1926 and settled in New Dorp in 1978. Mrs. Gough loved to read, play cards, play the accordion, and spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed baking homemade goods for them. She was very loved by her family and will be very missed, said her son, Robert Jr. Mrs. Gough was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, New Dorp. Her husband of 49 years, Robert, died in 1983. In addition to her son, Robert, surviving are her son, Gary; her sister, Jessie Johnsen; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be tomorrow from the Hanley Funeral Home, New Dorp, with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
