JACKSONVILLE, FL    15 July 1997

LAKE - Thomas H. ``Tommy'' Lake, 77, went home to be with the Lord on
Sunday, July 13, 1997. A native of Miami, FL, Mr. Lake had lived in
Jacksonville for over 70 years. He was an active member of The First
Baptist Church where he had been a faithful member of the choir for
17 years. Mr. Lake had served his country in the Army during WWII and
had received two purple hearts. Family members include his sister,
Arlene Garrett, Jacksonville; brothers, Herbert H. Lake, Hampton, VA,
Jerry A.  Lake, Windermere, FL; several nieces and nephews. Friends may
call at the funeral home this afternoon after 2 PM where the family will
receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at
11 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, July 16, 1997 in the Hobson Auditorium of The
First Baptist Church with The Rev. Steve McCollum officiating. Burial
will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 4315
Main St. is serving the family of Mr. Lake.
