The Advocate Newark OH November 7, 2008 Thomas H. Lake Jr. Dec. 26, 1966-Nov. 5, 2008 A memorial service celebrating the life of Thomas H. Lake Jr., 41, of Newark, will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 29 at Highwater Congregational Church, 1213 Dutch Lane Road, Newark, with the Rev. Victoria Front officiating. Tom was born Dec. 26, 1966, in Frankfurt, Germany, to Thomas H. Sr. and Jane E. (Rhodeback) Lake, of Newark. He passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at Selma Markowitz Care Center. Tom was a computer programmer analyst with the Limited Brands for years. He was a 1985 graduate of Utica High School, where he was active in the band and the Licking County 4-H Band. He also graduated from DeVry University, where he received his bachelor's degree. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, snow skiing and boating, but most important in his life was his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father and son. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 12 years, Misti (Reedy) Lake, whom he married Feb. 24, 1996; two loving children, Marisa and Alex Lake, of the home; uncle, Harold Lee, of Homer; aunt, Edna Woolard, of Harbor Hills; and cousins, Linda Woolard, of Harbor Hills, and Susan Woolard, of Granville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Russell and Mary (Hunter) Rhodeback; paternal grandparents, Stanley and Bertha (Bachmann) Lake; and aunt, Evelyn Lee. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio or to the Highwater Congregational Church.
