Herald Bulletin Indianapolis, IN ? Dec. 11, 1918 - March 10, 2008 FORTVILLE - Thomas R. Lake, 89, Fortville, died March 10, 2008, at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was an employee of Jarco for 35 years and was a master craftsman. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Frances L. (Harrell) Lake; daughter, Judy Hanson; son, Thomas (wife, Marcia) Lake Jr. and Phillip (wife, Lucy) Lake; brothers, Bearryman, Dudley, Bradley, Donny and Bobby Lake; sisters, Ruby Hamm, Marion Coffey, Marie Slaughter, Georgie Tolson and Margie Hardisty; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, Elaina Anderson and D.J. Reishus. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 523 S. Merrill St., Fortville. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Humane Society, Disabled American Veterans and DAV Memorial Program. Daily Reporter; Greenfield IN; 2008-3-12 Thomas R. Lake, 89, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born December 11, 1918 to Thomas and Lima (Yates) Lake. He was a faithful employee of Jarco for 35 years and the world's best master craftsman. Tom loved hunting, fishing, and target practice. He loved going to air shows with his great-grandson, planting his garden, leatherworking and woodworking, and especially family vacations to Colorado. He loved his Lord and was ready to go home with Him. He truly embraced his Catholic faith and couldn't wait to be in heaven. He will be missed more than anyone could know. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances L. (Harrell) Lake, whom he married on February 23, 1941; daughter, Judy Hanson of Fortville; son, Thomas (Marcia) Lake, Jr. of Plainfield; son, Phillip (Lucy) Lake of Jackson, Miss.; brothers, Bearryman, Dudley, Bradley, Donny and Bobby Lake; sisters, Ruby Hamm, Marion Coffey, Marie Slaughter, Georgie Tolson, and Margie Hardisty; grandchildren, Suzie (Jim) Anderson, Tina (Rick) Jones, Phyllis (Mark) Denney, Billy (Barbara) Ebersole, Shannon Parks, Tom (Kim) Lake and Tammy (William) Parker; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Jessica and Jennifer Anderson, Amanda, Wesley, Nicolas and Olivia Jones, Cory and Taylor Denney, Thomas and Isabella Ebersole, Michele and Brandon Parks, Megan and Macie Thornhill and Cheyenne and Tristan Parker; great-great-grandchildren, Elaina Anderson and D.J. Reishus. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wagnor Lake; sister, Bea Archer; and granddaughters, Theresa Thornhill and Terry Guyton. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 523 S. Merrill St., Fortville.
