Times Herald, May 27, 2010 Norristown, PA Tillie Robins Tillie R. (Pysz) Robins, 85, of Wayne, died May 23, 2010 at Life Care Hospice in West Chester. Widow of the late Joseph Robins. Born on Sept. 27, 1924 in Barnesboro, she was one of 14 children born to the late Mary (Reesetar) and Steve Pysz. At the age of 16, she left home and put herself through beauty school. After graduation, she moved to Philadelphia to begin her career. She was the owner of Tillie's of Straford in Wayne. Tillie was very active in the community including being a civil defense leader. While living in Philadelphia, she married Joseph Robins to whom she was married for over 25 years before his death. She was always there for her three children: Mark, Gary and June, and her four grandchildren. She was always exciting, vibrant and the life of the party. Tillie loved to cook and decorate for the holidays. She could always be found at the Devon Horse Show Radnor Hunt. She was a master bridge player and an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Tillie is survived by her children: June Robins of King of Prussia, Mark Robins of Chesterbrook and Gary Robins of Glen Mills. Grandmother of Cameron, Lauren, Carly, Evan and Will Robins. Sister of Margaret Christoff of Ceadehurst, N.Y., Victor Pysz of Farmington Hills, Mich., Edward Pysz of Parma, Ohio, Ronald Pysz of Ceadehurst, N.Y. Preceded in death by her siblings: Pauline Smolko, Verna Sewalish, Mary Christensen, Francis Pysz, Bernard Pysz, Michael Press, Andy Press, John Pysz, Maryann Smolko and Helen Hanyok. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Ave, Wayne. Viewing Thursday, May 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, May 28 from 10 to 11 a.m., both at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.
