GASTONIA - Valerie Lakey Lovin, 91, died July 2, 2000, at Gaston Memorial
Hospital.

She was a native of Graham County, wife of the late Clyde Lovin Sr.,
daughter of the late James Harem and Texana Carver Lakey, a homemaker,
member of Salem Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: Daughters and sons-in-law, Luana and Clyde Queen Jr., Raleigh,
Lavada and Phil Wilde, Newport News, Va., Patsy and Roy Lance, Panama City,
Fla.; sons and daughters-in-law, James "Herve" and Jean Lovin, Lincolnton,
Rex and Marie Lovin, Gastonia; brother, Edison and Geneva Lakey, Graham
County; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six
great-great-grandchildren

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Daughters, Ocie and Sheila Lovin, Lavinia Viscidy;
