CORRENTE, VERONICA JANE (ROBBINS) wife of the late Robert F. Corrente, M.D.,
of East Greenwich and Warwick passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015.
She was 83. Jane was born in 1932 in Coupon, Pennsylvania. She graduated
from Mount Aloysius Junior College and pursued her training in laboratory
microbiology in Washington, where she met Dr. Corrente, an intern at
Providence Hospital. Jane and Bob raised a family of four in Cowesett and
East Greenwich.  She earned her master's degree in microbiology and worked for
many years in the laboratory at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was devoted
to her family, her lifelong friends, her amazing gardens, her books and her
cats. She will be kept close in the hearts of her son, Robert (Hollie Edwardo)
in Rhode Island, her two daughters, Martha (Michael Akritas) in Pennsylvania
and Susan (Robert Clarke) in Maine, her four grandchildren Simon, Matthew,
Michaela and Celia, and her very special nieces and nephews. She was the
mother of the late Linda Corrente. Her funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 5,
2015, at 8:45 am from the PRATA - GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St.,
West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am
in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Interment will
follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours Sunday 4:00-6:00
