Vickie L. Douillet

Edwards - A Celebration of Life gathering for Vickie L. Douillet, 51 of
Edwards was held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Massena Amvets Post #4,
where family and friends were welcome to a luncheon to honor Vickie's
life.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.

Vickie died unexpectedly Sunday March 13, 2011 at E.J. Noble Hospital,
Gouverneur, where she had been taken from her home.

Born in Canton on July 3, 1959, she was the daughter of Clarence and
Hattie (Turner) Lakins.

She was married to Terry Douillet on April 4, 1987 at St. John's Episcopal
Church in Massena.

Mrs. Douillet earned a certification as a nurse's aide and worked for
over 20 years at the Highland Nursing Home and later at the St. Regis
Nursing Home.  For the past five years she was employed as a CNA at
E.J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur.

She enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors.

Surviving are her husband, Terry of Bernhards Bay, two sons, Terry,
of Bernhards Bay, and Matthew of Edwards and a daughter, Sara of Edwards.
